Ultrasonic C-Scan Inspection of VTOL Aircraft Composite Propellers & Blades

VTOL Ultrasonic Testing – The expansion of VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft beyond military applications is overwhelming composite manufacturing capacity. Productive C-Scan has been supporting the development of composite blades and propellers via ultrasonic C-Scan inspections. Such blades consist of solid laminates and filler materials such as shown in a cross section below.
